Tim’s piece, Forty Light Years From Home, is blown and lampworked glass, lampworked glass and noble gases. This sculpture uses the artistic practices of blowing and lampworking glass and the scientific practice of energizing noble gases. The piece depicts human
occupation of a distant star and the immediate consequent impact on that environment.
Tim’s work illustrates his keen interest in the exploration of the relationship between art and science.
He has private collections in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Europe and the United Kingdom.
