“Australian glass has been the enfant terrible, the spirited and untamed youngster of the international glass family. In just over two decades, Australian studio glass has gained a critical presence on the international stage.” Maureen Cahill.

Sydney Morning Herald, July 21, 2010

In 1991, the Glass Artists’ Gallery was the first Australian Gallery to exhibit overseas and launched the careers of many Australian and New Zealand artists. Works by our noted artists have been in major expositions in Chicago, New York, Singapore and London. Most recently at Art London and at Collect, Saatchi Gallery London.

The Gallery was the first to initiate Craft Australia’s Craft Australia Export Strategy Program with its participation in CINAFE, Chicago. This event was later replaced with SOFA – Sculpture, Objects and Functional Art which is widely known by artists and collectors and the broader public on all levels.

The success of these exhibitions is measured by the constant demand for Australian and New Zealand glass artists’ work by major public and private collections both in Australia and overseas.
